The OT will assess and support students with physical, sensory, and developmental challenges to enhance independence, functional skills, and participation in daily school activities. The role includes classroom observations and consultation, staff and parent coaching and training, case management and some direct therapeutic intervention aligned with MTSS.</p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive assessments of fine/gross motor skills, visual‑motor integration, handwriting, sensory processing, regulation, coordination, executive functioning, and activities of daily living (ADLs).&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Deliver&nbsp;responsive&nbsp;individual and small‑group therapy including sensory integration, motor planning, self‑regulation strategies, handwriting instruction, and functional classroom skills&nbsp;aligned with&nbsp;the Student Referral Process.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Develop, implement, and&nbsp;monitor&nbsp;individualized OT intervention plans and measurable goals; write detailed assessment reports and progress documentation.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with&nbsp;the Student Support Services team, classroom teachers,&nbsp;parents&nbsp;and students to&nbsp;design Student Support Plans for students accessing Tier 2 or 3 services.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Provide classroom‑based consultation, coaching, and practical strategies for seating, transitions, attention regulation, task organization, and sensory supports; design sensory diets and classroom support plans.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Recommend, trial, and advise on adaptive equipment, alternative seating, orthoses, splints, and assistive technology&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Support students during transitions (arrival, breaks, class changes) and secondary transition planning, including vocational and independent living skills as&nbsp;appropriate.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Deliver professional development and in‑service training for staff and parent workshops on OT strategies, sensory integration, and supporting students with developmental needs.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Participate in multidisciplinary case meetings,&nbsp;SSP&nbsp;reviews, and specialist consultation meetings; attend school and system‑level projects as&nbsp;required.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;records of sessions, assessments, equipment provided, contact hours, and contribute to annual program reports and service evaluation data.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Adhere to safeguarding procedures, ethical standards; support health and safety for students receiving OT services.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Engage in system‑wide initiatives, research projects, and&nbsp;provide&nbsp;expert advice to school leadership on OT service needs and inclusion strategies.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong style="font-size:16px;">QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy&nbsp;required;&nbsp;Master’s&nbsp;degree preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>Full professional OT certification/licensure (home country); school will support visa/work permit processing.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Minimum&nbsp;3+ years of OT experience, preferably&nbsp;in a school setting,&nbsp;or working with children and young adults with special needs&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;in assessment, screening, sensory integration, fine/gross motor development, handwriting, ADLs, executive functioning interventions, and working with diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, DCD/dyspraxia.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Experience working with young people with multiple exceptionalities&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Experience preparing therapy reports, progress documentation, and contributing to&nbsp;SS{s.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Training or certification in&nbsp;Behaviour,&nbsp;Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT)&nbsp;or&nbsp;Sensory Integration (SI) is preferred.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Strong collaborative skills and proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp;</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent spoken and written English;&nbsp;proficiency&nbsp;in Mandarin is an asset.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong style="font-size:16px;">APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><ul>    <li>Cover Letter</li>    <li>CV</li>        <li>References: We require contact information for three confidential references, with at least two being supervisory references from your current or previous employment.</li>  </ul><p><br></p><ul></ul>]]></media:description></item></channel></rss>
